Emission QA Suggestions from Mark Janssen

Advanced Stack Diagnostics Reports: http://www.ladco.org/tech/emis/BaseE/reports/asd/index.html
One of Advanced Stack Diagnostics reports draws maps of facilities that are not in the correct county.
Methods are outlined here: http://www.ladco.org/tech/emis/ems_2001/asd2/images/maps.html
Examples from the 1999 NEI v1 are: http://www.ladco.org/tech/emis/ems_2001/asd2/images/northeast.jpg or http://www.ladco.org/tech/emis/ems_2001/asd2/images/mississippi.jpg
Per capita emissions by county or state. These can be done for the whole inventory or by SCC or Major SCC
Also do this not only by population but also by any selected surrogate available like water, housing, or landuse:

Emissions by Major SCC and Sector where pollutants are columns.

Stacked bar charts by state by sector.

Pie Chart by sector for select part of the domain or entire domain.

A report showing Speciation profiles and percents by chemical mechanism group sort ordered by total mass:

or the same report for PM

Circle plots of point sources(or fires when we have them!): Would be great if we could color the sources based on some other variable like EGU/NON-EGU.

The BIGNOX report is  one of our industry groups favorite. It is a densely packed report that shows all of
modeling relevant information for all the major NOX sources in the domain. They can redline the
report and sent the fixes back easily: http://www.ladco.org/tech/emis/BaseE/reports/point/bignox.BaseE.020712.lst.html

Obviously a bar and/or line chart of emissions by hour would be great.  Also by episode day or modeled days  to show day of week trends:  http://www.ladco.org/tech/emis/BaseE/reports/plots/hour_stacked_nh3.baseE.020712.gif
